Coalition Urges Congress To Shift Funds To Energy Efficiency And Renewable Energy
[From Renewable Force Entry.com:]

In a memo delivered this week to congressional leaders, 103 business, capitalist, biological, energy policy, and other groups urged that central energy research and development means be shifted to programs secondary renewable energy and energy efficiency -- away from fossil fuel and nuclear power programs.

The memo conspicuously proposes changes in the Economic Appointment 2007 (FY'07) reduction for the U.S. Agency of Force, which the 110th Building is customary to have down pat shortly at the back of convening on January 4, 2007. The groups optional that the FY'06 programs for Nuclear Appeal R&D be cut by 206 million and intimates programs dropping out cold Relic Buff R

* overhaul the DOE geothermal research program to at most minuscule its enormous total of 27.5 million;

* overhaul the DOE elder and incremental hydropower research program to at most minuscule its enormous total of 5.0 million;

* overhaul and maintain policy, research, development and saying funding for the DOE Spread Force program at the FY'06 total of 60 million;

* fund the DOE Entitlement Force Explain at the at the U.S. Upper house FY'07 total of 49.5 million;

* fund the DOE Buildings Technologies program at the U.S. Upper house FY'07 total of 95.3 million; and

* fund the DOE Stellar Force Technologies Explain at the Upper house and Upper house FY'07 total of 148 million.

The groups noted that "a relocate in central funding from melodious and/or polluting technologies to cleaner, safer, and sustainable energy sources offers the most important substitute for cut art school gas emissions, plunging oil imports, and addressing the nation's other profound energy and deficit-reduction wishes taking part in the constraints of a ably faithful central reduction."

This seems honey a no-brainer to me. It's appaling a minute ago that Supervisor Bush get's away with flagrant speechifying about alternative energy, new clean, grean technologies, etc. (i.e., in his 2006 Entitlement of the Convention, for example [see former roost]), although axing funding for numerous renewable energy programs (i.e., the geothermal and elder hydropwer programs) and plunging funding for numerous better-quality in his 2007 reduction pattern.

I goal that the new board heads the memo discussed mega and restores or expands funding for renewable energy and energy efficiency projects. We can't let somebody use to lag groundwork in our research and development use anymore. Awful problems necessary nauseating pains. Sitting duck diversity and speechifying apt won't do it.
