They managed to find a "Coalition backbench" which has increased the concern about the failed support for renewables energies. The fear started rising about creating unnecessary distraction like the abandoned section of the reforms to one racial discrimination act (18C).
This attracted a negative response to the Warburton's target in the review which was released last month. This review was also viewed as a review that hurts the cause of those who are looking to bring damage to the scheme. This review recommended that Australia needs to set a target which will make it receive 20% of the electricity from renewable energy sources. The goal year is set by 2020. This means that Australia either needs to be closed to some new projects or get back on the yearly review basis.
These options have been dismissed by the government after they were brought to the table. The Coalition sources have revealed that the political argument about the target push is almost dead because the modeling was already commissioned for the review. All the big companies who want to be a part of scaling back to meet the electricity demand are also confused from the review. The options which were given to them have been marked as "unworkable" just because the different needs of the business for greater certainty.
The government is still searching for changes that will bring its work to another level and target for some larger projects. They have rejected the Warburton review and its recommendation which largely supported rooftop solar installations to be closed right away. Phasing the whole thing will remain under consideration, but there is slight chance that anything will be approved. The opinions are divided and there is skepticism that Mr. Abbott and the government will agree to a small amount of changes to this regime.
